Soreq NRC is an applied R&D Institute affiliated to the Israel Atomic Energy Commission. Its R&D activities include laser and electro optics, nuclear medicine, radiopharmaceutics, non-destructive testing, space components characterization and testing, crystal growth, development of innovative radiation detectors and sophisticated equipment for contraband detection. It offers radiation protection training, and operates personal dosimetry service. It is a major distributor of radio-pharmaceuticals for medical diagnostics and therapy.

Until 1973, responsibility for the environment was divided among several ministries in Israel. Within a year of the Stockholm Conference, the government established the Environmental Protection Service as a first step in the creation of a comprehensive and modern environmental administration in Israel. In December 1988, a Ministry of the Environment was established in Israel. This proved a landmark in Israel's environmental development and in the government's determination to tackle environmental issues.

ICNIRP is the International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection. It is a body of independent scientific experts consisting of a main Commission of 14 members, 4 Scientific Standing Committees covering Epidemiology, Biology, Dosimetry and Optical Radiation and a number of consulting experts. This expertise is brought to bear on addressing the important issues of possible adverse effects on human health of exposure to non-ionising radiation.

It is responsible for providing leadership on global health matters, shaping the health research agenda, setting norms and standards, articulating evidence-based policy options, providing technical support to countries and monitoring and assessing health trends

The International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) is part of the World Health Organization.
IARC's mission is to coordinate and conduct research on the causes of human cancer, the mechanisms of carcinogenesis, and to develop scientific strategies for cancer prevention and control. The Agency is involved in both epidemiological and laboratory research and disseminates scientific information through publications, meetings, courses, and fellowships.

The primary purpose of IRPA is to provide a medium whereby those engaged in radiation protection activities in all countries may communicate more readily with each other and through this process advance radiation protection in many parts of the world. This includes relevant aspects of such branches of knowledge as science, medicine, engineering, technology and law, to provide for the protection of man and his environment from the hazards caused by radiation, and thereby to facilitate the safe use of medical, scientific, and industrial radiological practices for the benefit of mankind

Israel Institute for Occupational Safety and Hygiene (IIOSH) is Israel's national public institution concerned with the workplace safety and health. It was established in the 50s on the basis of organizations and laws that came into existence during the period of the British Mandate, prior to the establishment of the State of Israel in 1947. These regulations reinforced the activity of  organizations founded earlier (at the beginning of the thirties) that dealt with occupational safety, such as: the General Trade Union, the Manufacturers' Association, and the Jewish Agency. However, the field of occupational safety obtained its formal and mandatory status, acknowledged  by the Mandate authorities and the Jewish leaders, only in 1946

EPA was established on December 2, 1970 to consolidate in one agency a variety of federal research, monitoring, standard-setting and enforcement activities to ensure environmental protection. Since its inception, EPA has been working for a cleaner, healthier environment for the American people.      The mission of EPA is to protect human health and the environment

 Environmental Health Trust educates individuals, health professionals and communities about controllable environmental health risks and policy changes needed to reduce those risks. Current multi-media projects include: local and national campaigns to ban smoking and asbestos; working with international physician and worker safety groups to warn about the risks of inappropriate use of diagnostic radiation and cell phones,  exploring what factors lie behind puzzlingly high rates of fibroid tumors, breast cancer and endometriosis in young African American women, and building environmental wellness programs in Wyoming and Pennsylvania to address the environmental impacts of energy development, the built environment and radon.

 The EMF Safety Network is devoted to providing quality education about the health impacts associated with electromagnetic fields (EMFs) and radio frequency radiation (RF) and offering resources for community activists working to facilitate public policy change
